Hi,
Just would like to know how much haste should a HL spammer aim for.. I am currently at 833 haste rating, and still looking for more. What is your opinion? (assuming one can deal with oom issue) thanks!

you cant really have enough haste, as long as your not having mana issues.
More haste = more win :)
Well Haste cap is 18%
downgraded my haste from 892 too 21%, but of course any item with crit and haste on same item is allways better then crit and mp5
Well, IMO you have enough haste, im around 700 haste and thats enough for me atm :)
I would go for 700-800, but only with normal Gear-Stats. Gems should be +int only.
With 5/5 Judgements of the Pure and 3/3 Lights Grace the haste cap is 675. Anything more and you are clipping the GCD (which really doesnt matter for a HL spammer). Just keep in mind that stacking haste over 675 will not reduce your cast time by very much. Above 675 you should be looking at other stats such as crit (for more illumination procs and better mana efficency), intellect (the bigger the mana pool the more you can spam), and MP5.

Have to disagree. Haste = throughput. And while it's true your cast time gets diminishing returns, the number of HLs you can cast in a given amount of time increases linearly with haste. And that's what's important.
IMO, you should stack as much haste as your mana pool will support and that the fight duration/mechanics will allow. Ending the fight around 10% is pretty good. Since this changes from fight to fight, it's a good idea to have both +haste/? and +mp5/+crit pieces in your armor kit that you can switch out. But don't pass on +haste drops just because you think you have enough.
I'm personally up around 900 haste. In my experience haste gives you control. We all know that healadins are spammers, and you absolutely cannot spam HL at 900 haste like you could at 676 haste. So that means you not only should, but must use your cds, 2pc bonus, and divine plea wisely. You're going to have to be smarter about the fights too, because again, you can't just spam HL and win. But in those cases where maximum heals and throughput are desperately needed by your raid, you will LOVE your haste. In cases where that +haste is overkill, swap in regen gear for longevity.

With 656 haste - my holy light cast time in a 25m raiding environment is 1.34 seconds, and at 938 haste rating, the cast time of my holy light in a 25 man raid environment is 1.25 seconds. To bring that cast time down another tenth of a second to 1.15 seconds, I would need 1305 haste rating.
By stacking 282 more haste, I gained a 0.11 second cast time reduction on holy light. As you can see the higher your haste gets, the less throughput it actually gives you over other stats such as crit, int and mp5.
There comes a point when haste really isnt all that great. Above 675 is where that number lies.
do the math:
throughput is defined by the number of HL casts you can do in a given amount of time.
WITH BUFFS (5min fight)
at 000 haste 1.61 sec cast time i can cast 186.34 HL
at 676 haste 1.33 sec cast time i can cast 225.56 HL.........+39.22 HLs
at 1352 haste 1.14 sec cast time i can cast 263.16 HL.........+37.6 HLs
at 2028 haste .994 sec cast time i can cast 301.81 HL.........+38.65 HLs
at 2704 haste .881 sec cast time i can cast 340.52 HL.........+38.71 HLs
throughput is directly and linearly increased with haste.
even better, try healing BQL air phase in your +676 gear and your +900 gear... believe me, this will convince you more than any math ever could.

If I was 1 healing the fight, that might become an issue. But in my 656 haste gear this week I pulled anywhere between 10k and 22k HPS in our 25m raid BQL attempts (Whyzerpally-Skywall is my paladin). When you go for only haste - you are giving up too many other important stats to be as effective. Yeah I could have 900 haste right this moment. But I would be giving up too many other stats that go with my 656 haste that make me as effective as if I had 900+ haste.
If stacking haste over 675 is your bag of goodies, I say go for it, but you arent going to convince me that an extra 200 haste is going to make my heals that much better then the other stats I would be losing.
In fact - only 2 of the top 5 holy paladins listed on World Of Logs for the BQL 25 fight have more then 675 haste (one is at 677). Im sure if you armoried more you would see the trend of getting higher then 675 haste is not a popular one. Here is the link: Top Holy Paladins on BQL 25 Normal
