Hey all, some mates and i are starting a 10m raid guild and we were doubting what system to use to divide loot. We don't want any other members thinking we're just handing out stuff cause we know each other irl. So what are your favorites?

Also if possible, any player of Ensidia might post their loot system, i do know - as said in your recruitment form - that loot is not the most important part, but sadly in normal guilds its this players join for. :)

Thanks all ;)

The best option is loot council. Its what my guild and Ensidia use. Loot is divided by a group of officers and given to people who need it the most to help the rest of the guild progress.

DKP is another option. You gain DKP when you show up to raids and spend it when getting an item. Theres different systems. Some each item will deduct a certain amount and other you choose how much to spend on an item so you can beet out others. Zero-sum DKP is the most comonly used. Theres many problems with this system that Mek talked about in one of his blogs, check it out.

If you know eachother well and trust each other, use the loot council. It will help you guild progress much more the DKP.

My guild use a low rolls system over DKP.

Basics are, lowest roll wins.

Everyone starts at 100, each raid you attend you loose 5. Each week you gain 5. We raid 3 times a week so the maximum you can loose is 10.

The lowest you can have is 30.

So. The more you raid the lower number you roll which increases your chance to roll a low number and win loot.

This does 2 things.

1: It means people don't horde points for omfgamazing loot, i.e tier tokens, passing up actual upgrades in the process.

2. Everyone has a chance at loot, you just have a higher chance the more you attend.

We find it works very well.

Loot Council only really works in a Top raiding guild where people are focused on guild progression. Otherwise friendships etc.. come into play, which is unfair on new players/not so popular people.

Why don't you use EPGP? All you want EPGP has it, and it's organized in an addon.

Imo go with EPGP or loot Council if you really trust your officer and think none of them will be biased by friendships and whatnot. EPGP simply gives the loot without any officer having to make any decision.

Loot council is definitly best if you can trust your officers.

Our system is far simpler. And works just as well. Why go with a system that has loads of point assignments that we just do need?

Also we have some nifty add ons we wrote to work with our system. Where is checks the phpRaider calendar for us, and updates the webpage each week for everyones points. There is also one for updating an auto roll macro we all have.

It works very well for us, and is customised just how we want it. Too much effort switching to EPGP even if we wanted to.
